2007 will be the fifth season of the Weston Summer Chorus. This year the chorus will be performing Mendelssohn's Elijah on Thursday, August 2!

Singers wanted for annual summer chorus
WESTON, CT--The annual Weston Summer Chorus is looking for singers to perform Mendelssohn's Elijah in concert on Thursday evening, August 2. Chorus membership is open to everyone high school age and above.
“The Summer Chorus gives choir members an opportunity to sing a major work in the summer, when most choirs do not meet,” points out Ellen Dickinson, founder and conductor of the Chorus. “This is a wonderful chance for singers from various church and community choirs to get to know each other, to share great music, and to learn more about choral singing.”
Ms. Dickinson is the Director of Music at Weston’s Norfield Congregational Church. She has also served as Acting Director of the Yale Glee Club, and as Director of the Yale Summer Chorus and Yale Freshman Chorus for three years. She has taught and directed choirs at the University of Bridgeport and New Haven's High School in the Community. She holds the Master of Music degree from the Yale School of Music and Institute of Sacred Music, and is an active organ and carillon recitalist.
