The 2005 Weston Summer Chorus rehearsals are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-9pm, starting Tuesday, July 5. The dress rehearsal (required) is Tuesday, July 26, and the concert is Thursday, July 28. All rehearsals and the concert will be held at Norfield Congregational Church parish hall, Weston.

Weston Summer Chorus 2005
Singers needed in all voice parts. The third annual Weston Summer Chorus will perform Haydn’s Creation on Thursday July 28 at 8:00 pm. Chorus membership is open to anyone high school age and up. Rehearsals are every Tuesday and Thursday in July from 7:00-9:00 p.m. beginning July 5. All rehearsals and the concert will be held in the air-conditioned Norfield Congregational Church Parish Hall in Weston. Singers are asked to contribute a registration fee of $20 to defray costs.

Singers wanted for annual summer chorus
WESTON, CT--The annual Weston Summer Chorus is looking for singers to perform Haydn’s Creation in concert on Thursday evening, July 28. Chorus membership is open to everyone high school age and above. Last year, this increasingly popular summertime activity included 45 singers from 15 different towns who performed Brahms’ "Ein Deutsches Requiem" before an audience of almost 150 music lovers.
“The Summer Chorus gives choir members an opportunity to sing a major work in the summer, when most choirs do not meet,” points out Ellen Dickinson, founder and conductor of the Chorus. “This is a wonderful chance for singers from various church and community choirs to get to know each other, to share great music, and to learn more about choral singing.”
Ms. Dickinson is the Director of Music at Weston’s Norfield Congregational Church. She has also served as Acting Director of the Yale Glee Club, and as Director of the Yale Summer Chorus and Yale Freshman Chorus for three years. She has taught and directed choirs at the University of Bridgeport and New Haven's High School in the Community. She holds the Master of Music degree from the Yale School of Music and Institute of Sacred Music, and is an active organ and carillon recitalist.
Chorus rehearsals are scheduled from 7:00 to 9:00 PM every Tuesday and Thursday evening in July, beginning July 5, in the Parish Hall of the Norfield Congregational Church in Weston.
